FedEx Shipment Updates

We continue to receive more FedEx shipments and are processing specimens upon arrival. As a reminder, we are posting all order status updates in the MyGDX. portal. For any "Discarded Specimens," we are automatically sending collection materials for resubmittal. For partials, a STAR will be generated, requiring your instructions.

FedEx Shipment Updates

As of today, Friday, February, 19, we have started receiving shipments again from FedEx and are accessioning specimens. We are also staffed and prepared for shipments to arrive both Saturday and Sunday.

Again, we will be doing everything to maximize viability and run as many samples as possible. However, there will likely be partial reporting and discard notices requiring recollection being sent for some orders that have simply arrived too late.

For updates on your specific orders, please log in to MyGDX. We will be posting order status updates in the myGDX portal as soon as those are received. For those "Discarded Specimens", we will automatically be sending collection materials for resubmittal. For partials, a STAR will be generated, requiring your instructions. We are asking you to please check the status online and to try and resolve there prior to calling.

Urgent Shipment Notification


Asheville, North Carolina. February 17, 2021

Due to the winter storm impacting much of the United States, Fed Ex has experienced significant delays in processing packages through their Memphis hub. They anticipate this will continue over the next few days. This impacts incoming specimen delivery to Genova Diagnostics at both our Asheville and Atlanta facilities. We will be processing collection packs as soon as they arrive to maximize viability. However, given the potential length of delays in shipment, we do anticipate that some samples may arrive outside of stability ranges. We will keep you informed as this situation unfolds.
