Big News! Genova Diagnostics has acquired Cell Science Systems ‐ learn how this strengthens support for clinicians.

Genova Diagnostics Welcomes Cell Science Systems to the Genova Family

If you've been in root-cause care for any length of time, you've felt it: the questions are getting more connected. Gut health and immunology. Metabolism and inflammation. Food sensitivities and nutrient status. Hormones and stress. Patients don't show up in neat categories and the testing that supports great care shouldn't either.

That's why we're excited to share an important milestone: Genova Diagnostics has acquired Cell Science Systems (CSS) to expand our ability to support clinicians with deeper testing capabilities, expanded research and development, and additional medical education support.

Who is Cell Science Systems?

CSS is known for immunology and cell biology testing, with a menu that includes:

  • Alcat® Food & Chemical Sensitivity Testing
  • Cellular Nutrition Assays (CNA)
  • Telomere Length Test
  • CICA® Celiac, IBS, Crohn's Array
  • MethylDetox

CSS operates a CLIA-certified laboratory and an FDA-registered medical device manufacturing facility, bringing specialized infrastructure and expertise into the combined organization.

Looking Ahead

More and more, clinicians are looking for a single lab partner that can help connect the dots across body systems without sacrificing depth or scientific rigor. As Jeff Ledford, CEO of Genova Diagnostics, shared “Clinicians are increasingly benefiting from clinical laboratory data to help them understand the overlap between gastrointestinal health, immune, nutrition, and metabolic drivers of chronic disease, optimal health, and longevity.” He added:

“By bringing Cell Science Systems into Genova Diagnostics, it's easier to access a more complete picture from one lab, while leveraging our combined scientific insights and expertise built over decades.”

At its core, this acquisition is about adding meaningful capability through new methodologies, new biomarkers, and expanded support so clinicians can make confident decisions faster.

As we share answers to questions about timing, availability, and how this affects ordering workflows, it's important to note this transition is less about change and more about added capability, without added friction.

If you're currently using Genova testing, CSS testing, or both: this is a step toward a more unified experience that supports whole-person care and keeps the science front and center.

What's Changing

Over time, CSS testing will become part of Genova Diagnostics and its test menu will be integrated into Genova's product portfolio. This creates room to:

  • Incorporate biomarkers Genova Diagnostics doesn't currently offer
  • Strengthen and expand R&D capabilities across both organizations
  • Increase the depth and availability of medical support services
What's Staying the Same
  • The existing CSS laboratory in Deerfield Beach, FL will remain operational
  • The expertise, the people, and the capabilities of CSS remain in place
  • Genova's CLIA-certified lab and headquarters in Asheville, NC along with it's London, UK office will operate per usual
