What is Online Activation?

Activating a collection pack connects your order for testing, as well as specimen, payment, and patient details to a unique ID assigned to each pack.

Who can activate a test?

Healthcare providers begin activation by providing specific test orders and patients complete it online with their e-signature and collection details.

Drop Ship Collection Packs

The quickest way to both order and activate collection packs in one easy step is to drop ship. We'll send collection materials directly to your patient and you're done!

  • Save Time - There's no need to log back in to activate.
  • Save Space - No need to store bulky collection materials.
  • Reduce Waste - Packs won't expire on your shelves.

Working with Collection Pack Inventory

After receiving in-office collection packs, return to myGDX to activate each pack and authorize specific test orders, then provide to a patient to complete.

Want to complete in half the time? Drop ship to your patient instead.

Order collection packs to your office in myGDX. Before providing to a patient, activate using the unique activation number in the pack:

  1. Login to myGDX and choose Order and Activate Tests
  2. Enter the activation number from the collection pack and select the specific tests and add-ons your patient needs
  3. Add billing and patient info then Submit
  4. Ensure the label card is returned to the pack it was shipped in and provide to your patient for specimen collection

Activating: At-a-Glance

Drop ship to patients OR activate an in-office collection pack by submitting test orders online before providing to patients.

Specimen labels include the unique ID used for activation and must remain with the collection pack they are shipped with.

The patient's date of birth and the date of collection must be included on each specimen returned to Genova.
