Ensure Specimens are Ready

Different tests have different preparation needs. Whether it's drying, refrigerating, or freezing, make sure to prepare your specimens as directed. If freezing is required, ensure your freezer brick and specimens are solidly frozen before shipping, especially in warm weather.

Packaging Your Specimens

• Place your specimens in the collection pack box.
• Place the closed box inside the FedEx shipping bag provided.
• Attach the pre-paid shipping label to the bag.

Choose a Drop Off Location

Drop boxes are convenient, but choose wisely. Opt for one in a climate-controlled or shaded area and don't leave your package there for more than 1 hour before the scheduled pickup time. Heat exposure can affect specimen quality. For best results, a climate-controlled facility is recommended. Find your nearest location here.

Schedule a Pickup

Arrange for a FedEx pickup before you start collecting your specimens. This proactive step ensures that you can promptly send off your samples immediately after collection, minimizing any delay.

• Avoid Heat: High temperatures can degrade your specimens, so avoid sun-exposed outdoor drop boxes.
• Timing: Ship early in the week and avoid holidays to prevent delays.
