The gastrointestinal tract plays a central role in health and disease. Because the GI tract functions to digest and absorb our nutrients, adequate nutrition status is dependent on a healthy gut. Additionally, gut health and the microbiome require proper nutrition. By combining nutritional and gut assessments, the clinician can gain greater insight into the root cause of functional imbalances.
In this one-hour, case-based webinar, the clinician will learn about the connections between nutritional and stool testing. We will review common patterns seen in the GI Effects Comprehensive stool profile and the NutrEval.
- Identify concepts that connect nutritional assessments and stool testing results
- Interpret and apply laboratory results
- Discuss strategies that are helpful in treatment plan creation
