The New GI Effects Report:

Advancing GI Testing Through Microbiome Analysis

Presented by Michael Chapman, ND

The gastrointestinal tract is recognized more and more every day for playing a pivotal role in overall human health. The GI tract is responsible for a whole host of homeostatic mechanisms including immune function, digestion & absorption of nutrients, detoxification, and even neurotransmitter production. With all of these diverse functions, it is imperative to find the most appropriate and insightful way to evaluate the GI tract in our patients. Genova Diagnostics has led the way in stool testing for gastrointestinal health for over thirty years, and once again has redefined what a stool test looks like.

The new GI Effects (2200) includes many updated features including functional category scores and a robust microbiome synthesis interpretation. Data-analysis has been applied to thousands of reports to categorize commensal bacterial profiles that have direct clinical application. Additionally, therapeutic options are provided to assist in the clinical management of patients. This webinar will discuss the details of the new GI Effects report and demonstrate the enhanced clinical utility of this design.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to apply the new functional scoring system
  • Learn how the data was collected and synthesized to deliver clinically actionable microbiome analysis
  • Review therapeutic options for specific GI functions
